Realtek has released new set of audio drivers for their chipsets, these new set of audio drivers are meant for "regular" AC'97 chipsets and not "HD Audio". You can get more information for the drivers here.

Thanks for sharing, there was some kind of compatibility issue with previous two versions of Realtek audio drivers for Vista x64 but these new set of drivers are quite compatible and they are working fine on my machine now.
