    pagefile size for 8gb RAM

I have upgraded my system ram to 8 gb, it's running on window's Vista Ultimate X64. Window is suggesting me to set pagefile to 12288 but i have left my system with no page file for now, i want to know if that's a good idea? It is accessing 4gb Ready Boost but it seems as if that much ram Readyboost is of no use.

No that's not a good idea, you should set pagefile size as determined by your system, pagefile is required by some processes . In my case i leave it on my Vista Ultimate x64 to use required ram for ReadyBoost. Vista and XP pagefile manager is much better as compared to Win9x/ME, you don't need to worry about anything.
