I have found that windows xp is not capable of handling UDF 2.50, anyways there is a trick that you can try out to get it work. Just when you get a message saying "you cannot install it" or something like that than dont close that message box. Rather navigate to your temp directory and check out for {1347D5A6-4FE0-476A-B85F-D0FC91F55EB0}. Once you enter it you will see thdudf.inf and thdudf.sys. Now right click on thdudf.inf, select "Install", revert back, close Message Box,restart your system. Upon restart it should get read and you should be able to carry out your installation process. I haven't tried this trick my self but have sound some mentioning it works.
