Msn today box opening in Windows 7 64

When I first boot Windows 7 I have it set to excite Windows Live
Messenger(latest version)
Messenger opens Fine, the "today" box opens almost entirely off-screen, just
a little bit is showing at the very top of my screen. (22 inch screen) I
have to go to task manager & close the today box that way. I then open it &
it opens correctly.
Using latest Nvidia drivers. Screen resolution 1280x800.(tired old eyes)

As far as I know this just started occurring recently.

All updates applied in Windows 7 (including the latest Microsoft keyboard &
mouse drivers).

Anyone experiencing same in Windows 7 64

Hugh,
Not quite related to your post but 22 inches screens call for a "natural"
resolution of 1680 x 1050.
After setting that resolution, characters will be small so you will surely
like to resize them to 125%.
At least, that's my setup and works for my tired old eyes.

This is likely a problem with the nvidia drivers. I'd suggest going as
Carlos suggests, and using native resolution, but larger characters.

Re: Msn today box opening in Windows 7 64

Now my wife is telling me the same thing is happening on her HP laptop, she
has all the latest
updates applied & using Windows 7 64, Laptop has a 17 inch screen, she is
running at the native resolution
1400x900. Only thing different is she excites program after starting windows
7.
The "today" box works fine in Vista Ultimate 64 & Vista Home Premium 64 on
my desktop using same computer
& screen & same resolution.

Re: Msn today box opening in Windows 7 64

Doesn't Nvidia have a control panel app that lets you "size" windows? I'd
try that. Honestly, it's the nvidia drivers and why should we be surprised?
The only good thing I can say about their drivers is that they make me glad
I'm running mostly ATI.
