| Updates installed, now won't boot correctly
The following updates were installed on my system this morning, now when I try to boot up, all goes well until it gets to the "Windows XP" screen. It will show the blue bar scrolling a couple of times, then it just reboots & does it all over again. I can only get past it by hitting F8 & using the LKG config. Anybody else have a similar problem with any of these updates? KB969559 KB969604 KB969613 KB969679 KB969682 KB970012 KB963093 KB968537 KB969898 KB970238 KB969897-IE7 KB961501 |

Is this with the 64-bit Windows x64? After booting in the Last Known Good configuration, go to System Restore and Restore the computer to just before the updates were installed. Alos, Microsoft actually provide Free Support for problems with Windows Update like this. If not then you need to go to the windowsxp.general group. irishcream wrote: > The following updates were installed on my system this morning, now when I > try to boot up, all goes well until it gets to the "Windows XP" screen. Yes, XP Pro x64....I'd submitted an email to support, was just wondering if anyone else had similar problems. Thanks. "Bobby Johnson" wrote: > Is this with the 64-bit Windows x64?
