I am having a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop that came pre-installed with Windows Vista. It is having 4 partitions as of now that is C, D and 2 ”primary” partitions that came preloaded with the laptop. Here are the complete details about the same:
- C: 140GB
- D: 9.77GB Recovery
- Primary 39GB
- Primary 2.5GB
Now the problem is I needed to make one more partitions where can I keep my data separate and safe. Hence I created an un allocated space from the C drive for 40GB. C drive is now of 99 GB. But when I try to assign the drive letter to the unallocated 40GB partition, I get the following error message:
“You cannot create a new volume in this unallocated space because the disk already contains the maximum number of partitions.”
Any help on the same ?
