Vista disk defrag question

Just need a bit info about Disk Defragmentation on Vista. Am using Vista Home Premium and in know I can force it do defrag the drives manually. But can we schedule to do it on its own ? I mean can vista carry out Scheduled Defrags ?

If yes, please let me know how ? Thank you.

Did you check your Task Scheduler? Vista is by default scheduled to go once a week. You don’t need to schedule it again unless and until you disable the scheduler or remove the default one task. If you have disabled the scheduler then you will need to force Vista to do it manually and Yes, it will defrag on the scheduled time.

Yes, windows Vista run the hard drive defragmentation automatically, but it does usually when the machine is idle.
