Vista 64 SP1 error 80070017

Just d/led SP1 for Vista Ultimate 64 and tried to install it...
It failed with error code 80070017 which MS has no info on, I searched
the knowledge base and help areas
Does anyone here have any ideas or a way to find out??

Does that mean that my SP1 d/l was bad? If so, how can I remove it
from the d/l cache so that I can get it again correctly? (I have tried
the update three times so I assume it must be cached)

1. Stop the Windows Update service (make sure you are logged on as an Administrator)

Start button || Control Panel ||System and Maintenance ||Administrative Tools
Double-click Services
(Provide the Administrator password or confirmation if prompted to do so.)
Right-click the Windows Update service and click Stop.

2. Click Start, type %windir% in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

Locate and clear out the SoftwareDistribution/downloads folder.

3. Start the Windows Update service

Start button || Control Panel ||System and Maintenance ||Administrative Tools
Double-click Services
(Provide the Administrator password or confirmation if prompted to do so.)
Right-click the Windows Update service and click Start.

You can check which updates are installed on your computer by -

Start button || Control Panel || Programs
Under Programs and Features - click View installed updates.
