Vista is unsable to Defrag any partition

I perform disk defragementation a number of time on my system to improve disc performance. But somehow it looks Vista is not defragging the system. It does not complete any of my partition. It has stopped working. I cannot find any reason behind the same. Does anyone knows why this thing happen.

That can be due to some kind of internal bugs or system file failure. You must run system restore it is one of the best way to get back on old settings. Just search that in the Start Menu. System restore can give you temporary relief. And if still this does not work, then you can use tool like diskeeper to defrag your system and find appropriate solution.
