Overheating CPU causes Vista Desktop Window Manager (Dwm.exe) crash

I am running Windows Vista on my computer and due to the summer heat my computer is crashing every now and then. I normally do a lot of video encoding and such which overheats my computer with a temperature of 60-70 degree celcius. I have also checked that this causes Desktop Window Manager which is also called Dwm.exe to crash every 15 minutes or so. This doesnt use to happen when I was running XP on my computer with the same temperature. I also dont want to buy any coolers which would be a waste I think. Also, I get the below error message:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: Dwm.exe
    Application Version: 6.0.6000.16386

    Exception Offset: 00042ea8
    OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.6

    Additional Information 3: 8d13
    Additional Information 4: cdca9b1d21d12b77d84f02df48e34311

Is there any solution for this problem.

I think that you have already answered your own question, the problem is the obvious overheating of the cpu. And since you have already told that you dont want to buy a CPU Cooler than the only other option left for you is to live with an air condition room so that atleast it will keep the pc cool or otherwise, dont do heavy encoding or such that stresses the cpu. You can even use some external digital temperature meter that can be calierated between boiling and freezing. Have you also tried and installed CPU fan that will give you options to adjust the system fan to run at higher speed.
