Rundll32.exe Error

From last couple of days am facing some problem with Vista home Premium. Actually am trying to access the mouse pointers but it gets failed every time. When I checked the event viewer, I found the following error:

Faulting application rundll32.exe, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp
0x4549b0e1, faulting module SynTPCpl.dll, version 9.0.1.3, time stamp
0x454fe5cd, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x000247d9, process id
0x6ec, and application start time 0x01c7852b0757253b.

I don’t have much idea about these error codes, hence need help from you all guys. Any Advice?

According to the error mentioned above, I don’t think there is any problem with the Rundll32, instead there is something wrong with the program related to your touchpad. I hope you are using laptop with Vista. If yes, you should check if there is any driver updates for Synaptec touchpad. Update it to the latest version.

Seems like even I have similar issue with Vista 32bit. I got the same error message while trying to access the rear mic. When I tried to change the settings, I got the following error message:

"The instruction at 0x6c153709 referenced memory at 0x013e65bc. the memory could not be read."

Any help would be appreciated.
