    Volume Shadow Copy Service error

Hi, am facing some problems with my Vista since couple of days. When I checked the log, I found huge ones. So instead of explaining the problem, I thought to attach the error logs here, you will understand the problem. Also please suggest something what should I do now? Thank you.

Re: Volume Shadow Copy Service error

Well before I suggest you any fix I want you to carry out some testing and send me the log again. Here we go:

    • Go to Start, type ‘regedit’ in the search filed and open Registry Editor by simply hitting Enter key.
    • Now navigate to the following location:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Asr
    • Here on the right side, you need to create a new DWord value and name it as EnableLogging.
    • Now double click the same and set its value as 00000001 (hexadecimal) OR 1 (decimal)
    • Once done, create a new String key named ‘LogPathName’under LogFileSetting.
    • Right-click that key, select Modify and enter C:\asr.log.

That’s it. Now do whatever you were doing that was creating the error and send me the resulting asr.log file. Once you save the log or send it to me, don’t forget to delete the both keys we created above (EnableLogging and LogPathName’under)
