| AudioEndPointBuilder Performance Issue
I posted this earlier but in the wrong discussion group. I have an Athlon 64, 2gb DDR, Radeon 9600 128mb ram and still have performance issues. The latest issue I have is when I boot, it takes over 2 minutes to boot and then when I sign on the system CPU utilization is 10% to 80% for about 10 minutes. The disk drive is going crazy during this time and if I try to open more than one application, the system just about comes to a standstill. When I check task manager and click on the svchost process that is highly active, I discover the service is AudioEndPointBuilder. When I stop both the AudioSvc and AudioEndPointBuilder services, my cpu utilization and hard drive IOs immediately cease and the system comes to life. Any ideas from anyone? What are these two services used for? |

| Re: AudioEndPointBuilder Performance Issue I too am having this exact issue. There are many posts on the internet regarding this issue, but no one has offered any solutions. I wanted to check and see if I could disable this service without having to disable Windows Audio at the same time. These two are currently linked together. -- Ashfaq Rasheed |
