setup.exe has stopped working... won't let me uninstall

Hello guys, Am I trying to uninstall 3 Mobile Broadband USB Modem from my Windows Vista Home Premium based desktop but every time I run the installer, it ends saying “setup.exe has stopped working”. I restarted the system several times, turned of UAC but still getting the same error. Here is the complete message that I get in the error:

i dont have any idea how can i remove this successfully. Can somebody help me installing the modem please ?

Did you check it in Programs and Features under Control Panel. See if it is listed over there.

Alternatively if it is not allowing you to remove manually, you can try out some third party software such Revo uninstaller. This will help you remove it for sure.

Even am facing the same problem with tasysam74 on my Vista running with Acer Aspire M3800 Tower Desktop PC. Me too struggling to remove it since last 2 days now but yet unsuccessful. Is there any working solution for the same ?

Have you guys tried system restore in near sometime ? Because such error occurs when any applications setup.exe gets contaminated and that usually happens coz of system restore. Well in such case, if it is not allowing to remove, than you should re-install/overwrite it again without removing. This will fix the installer again and you will be able to remove it from control panel as well.

Thanks, I Needed To Reinstall The Prior Program Before I Could Uninstall It. Likely Due To A System Restore That I Had To Do With A Virus.

Well a suitable antivirus can help you out here so please download an updated one and install the same I hope that you will be able remove the virus.
