For people who only have a restore image - Windows Vista Recovery Disc
Download:
http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/window...disc-download/

You will need third-party burning software to burn the file you download as
an image, not data. ImgBurn is free and it's good.

Then boot with it and choose "Repair". You'll see the option to do a System
Restore there.

Malke, I have done that with CD-R disc, and i used that burn program you told me about and fallowed
http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/G/B...s+with+ImgBurn
how to burn a ISO file,

then i put it in my computer and restart, i press F8 then repair computer, then put the layout of my keyboard, then i get sceen.. startup repair / System restore / Windows Complete PC restore / Windows memory diagnostic tool / Command prompt

i press system restore

Then window pops up..
Restore system files and settings

(red ring with white X in center): No restore points have been created on your computer's system disk. To create a restore point open system protection.

System restore can help fix promblems that mgiht be making your computer run slowly or stop responding
System restore does not affect any of your documents, pictures or other personal data.

Then I guess you don't have any System Restore points to restore to and
whatever you were trying to do to fix your system won't work. Since I don't
know anything about your computer or its recent history, there's not too
much more I can say.

Have you tried repairing your computer - not doing a System Restore - by
following these steps?

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...torial148.html

The recovery CD you made will work for this process.

If not, I would try that. If you already did try that and got no joy, then
the next step is to back up your data using a Linux Live CD or a Bart's PE
and then restore your computer to factory condition.

Again, I must stress that I know nothing about your computer or what brought
it to this condition so you may want to get a diagnosis from a competent
local tech who can have hands-on. If you go this route, I don't recommend
using a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place.
