Page Fault in Nonpaged Area

I keep getting this error constantly and its hard even to press F8 to
get into the advanced start up options. I've tried running in safe mode
and tried going to last know good startup point, but both end up giving
me the bsod. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Re: Page Fault in Nonpaged Area

Hello Jsaye,

This is usually related to bad RAM.

You can download the ISO for Memtest86+.

'Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool'

Next, burn the ISO to DVD or a USB key with a program like ImgBurn.

'The Official ImgBurn Website'

Boot from the DVD to run a memory test to see if you have a bad RAM
stick if it fails the test. If you do, then you will most likely need to
replace it.

It is the result of a bad driver more than memory. What is on the blue
screen. It should have an error code and maybe a driver name. Set the system
to generate a minidump and analyze it.

I'm having this problem too but it happens unexpectedly when I'm using
my new computer. The OS is Vista Home Premium 64bit and the problem is
that I don't know how to analyze the dump.

Hi,

Did you say "new"? If so, you shouldn't even be messing with it, contact the
manufacturer immediately to protect your warranty rights.

The error generally means a faulty, missing, or incompatible device driver.

Re: Page Fault in Nonpaged Area

No, it is almost always related to bad memory and rarely a bad driver.
Check your memory first. 9 times out of 10 with my clients we run a Mem
test and it turns up faulty. Pop those sticks out, slap some new ones
in, kiss your BSOD woes good bye.
