Machine Check Exception 0x0000009C error on Acer Aspire 5920

I have a Acer Aspire 5920 laptop. It is having Windows Vista Home Premium. I am getting error -- Stop: 0x0000009C (0X00000003, 0X8304B120, 0XF2200004, 0X0B02010A) on it. It looks to be some kind of hardware problem in the system. I face this error after using LG mobile phone. After connecting the same it asked for some driver setup. The setup crashed after few minutes.

Go in Safe Mode and run system restore. It is better if you avoid using hardware which is not compatible with Vista. I also faced a problem with old lan card. It was not connected. I formatted my system and then connected the same and the system Vista. After installing it when I started with driver setup, the system crashed. It was really a waste of time for me to re-install windows back. I kept the card aside and till now there is no problem with the OS.

I am having the same problem on windows 7. My PC is an upgrade from XP but with a fresh hd that I installed Windows 7 on after formatting NTFS and using a partitioning tool to utilize all available space. I also upgraded my ram to 2GB. Brief history recently, my computer has been freezing intermittently and I have diagnosed that my new Geforce graphics card 512mb was to blame because my power supply has a max output of 250 W and the graphics card requires 300 W. Several days ago I tried to install a LG PC Suite III, free software from the internet to allow me to connect my LG phone to my computer. After that point I am now getting a MACHINE_CHECK error code 9C at random times where the blue screen performs a physical memory dump upon reaching 100%. I believe that the LG software was to blame. I have uninstalled today and no blue screen yet (fingers crossed) Since MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION is an XP error, I suspect that the LG software I installed was not Windows 7 compatible. Any suggestions?? Were you able to solve your problem??
