"This Copy of Windows Vista is not Genuine"

I am using Windows Vista on my desktop. As am not tech savvy guy, just bought it from Amazon and called a technician to install it on my desktop. Yesterday while I working, suddenly my internet stopped working and got a blank black background. I thought it is one of those problems that gets fixed after reboot. I did the same here but when my system came back I got a box saying my system is not valid and I need to activate the same. This is ridiculous.

Now as I have the Product Keys with me, I enter the keys and submitted But still at the right bottom of my screen, there is a message saying:

    Windows Vista (TM)
    Build 6001
This copy of Windows is not Genuine

Can anyone please tell me how suddenly my genuine copy got pirated? And how can I fix it? If anyone want confirmation, I can send them my bill of Vista purchase from Amazon.

Hello Mr.Jocosa, I agree you have the legal copy of Vista. The genuine Advantage problem you facing has now become common as many users face this problem even after activation like you. So just relax. What you need to do is enter the product keys you have for the same and call Microsoft. Let them know the situation. They will confirm few details from you and will help you get rid of those messages in the bottom right of the screen.

You can get more help regarding this from the following discussions:

I was facing the same Windows is not genuine error earlier on my vista thought it was a legal copy, infact it was an OEM product. Anyways, just as a workaround, I went to My computer properties and changed the Remote Desktop settings. I don’t actually remember what fixed my problem but it worked.
