Wireless cannot connect (unknown error)

I just moved to a new place and now I cannot connect to the wireless connection. I am running Windows Vista on my HP notebook and having 2 gb of ram. The inbuilt wireless adapter is Broadcom 802.11 a/b/g WLAN and all its drivers are up to date as well. The wireless connection is also active because 4 different users can access it. Can anyone tell me how do I resolve this problem? Thanks

You will need to check first the Wireless Source, that is the - wireless router and access point - and ensure that there is no filtering, like mac filter, that is needed to be set to help your computer. After that you need to ensure that the computer setting matchs the one of the Wireless source.

I can assure you that the security settings macthes up properly. When checked in Windows Utility then it is able to recognize it as using WPA and the password is also proper. So, I believe that there could be some issues with the Mac filtering and some user might have changed the router password from the defaults. So, it seems that I will have to but another one I guess.
