Connect to two networks from one machine...

This is Dell laptop running with Windows Vista Ultimate. It is connected with Linksys Wireless Access via built-in wireless NIC. There are lots more PCs connected with this network for file sharing and printer sharing. I also Clearwire Internet PCMCIA satellite ISP connection for internet access.

What I wanted to know is there is any possible way we can use Linksys connection for file and printer sharing access and Clearwire connection for accessing Internet on the same Vista computer at the same time? I don’t know whether this makes any sense but I would like to do it if possible.

Yes, there are possibilities where you can use Clearwire for Internet and other card for LAN connection. But for doing that you will need to first set the metrics to prefer the clearwire. You can do this with the help of steps provided here http://www.ezlan.net/metrics.html. Once done, unbind File and Printer sharing from the Clearwire, and bind Sharing only to the TCP/IP of the second card. That’s it.

So the proposed setup works for Internet. But I cannot access my Microsoft Exchange Server using this method.

Here's the current setup:

Name
"Local Area Connection" (this is a wired connection to my Clearwire modem, satellite Internet)

Status
Network 3, Shared

Connectivity
Access to Local and Internet

Network Type
Public

Owner
System

Connection Properties
_ Client for Microsoft Networks (not enabled)
x QoS Packet Scheduler
_ File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks (not enabled)
x TCP/IPv6
x TCP/IPv4
x Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver
x Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder

TCP/IP Properties
x Obtain IP address automatically
x Obtain DNS server address automatically

Interface metric: 10

Name
"Local Area Connection 3" (this is a wired connection to my workplace switch)

Status
"name of work domain"

Connectivity
Access to Local only

Network Type
Private

Owner
System

Connection Properties
x Client for Microsoft Networks
x QoS Packet Scheduler
x File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
x TCP/IPv6
x TCP/IPv4
x Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver
x Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder

TCP/IP Properties
x Obtain IP address automatically
x Obtain DNS server address automatically

Interface metric: 20

Question
How can I get this setup to keep my satellite connection to the Internet but still keep in touch with Microsoft Exchange via Outlook on my Local network?
