VPN with Vista - cached credentials

I am using a Watchguard firewall and also a Microsoft PPTP to connect to the network that I am using. It is working fine but if I am trying to access the resources then the VPN account is used instead of Windows Login. So, I log onto the computer with the domain network password that I have. I have also tried to clear the cached credentials from Control Panel but if I am trying to reconnect to VPN then it returns. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Incase the VPN account is another from the domain account then you will have to use net to cached the credentials everytime you establish the VPN. The below search results will help you out:

Cached Credentials Use "net use * /d" command to delete all mapping drives.
After that use "net use \\servername password /u:domainname\username" to cache the credentials.

Thanks for the workaround that you have given but it will not work when the user changes his password. Is there any other solution?
