cisco vpn client doesnt work on wireless connection

I have downloaded the Cisco VPN client v5.0 from their website. I have another internet connection at work that is wireless. When the laptop that I have, saw this connection then it came up with a pop up and asked me if i wanted to connect, i did then it asked me if this was a work, home or public connection, so i labeled it as work. I have been testing on this work wireless connection and ran the cisco VPN client and it was able to connect. When I got at my place and the same wireless configuration pop up came on, i setup my home wireless and it again asked me if it was a work, home or public connection i choose home. Also, i have WEP running on my home network. My cisco VPN client keeps coming back with the following error: "Secure VPN connection terminated locally by the client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding". Is there any fix for this problem? Thanks

Re: cisco vpn client doesnt work on wireless connection

Can you try to post the result of ipconfig /all here that might help. You can also follow the below suggestions and see if that works:

    1. The problem that you are facing could be due to loss of connectivity. Make sure you can ping the remote peer, or check remote peer logs for why it is not responding to the client.
    2. If you have your firewall turned on, there might be a rule that is preventing the connection from being established properly. Disable your firewall and try again.
    3. Please make sure the group name is exactly as the same as the VPN server group name.
    4. Try disabling any firewall software on your PC

There could be many possible reasons for the problem that you are facing. In any case, have you tried to disable the IPv6 first and checked if that worked? If that doesnt work then it might be the home wireless router at fault. Did you try to reset the router without any security settings. Are you able to establish the VPN?
