    NET SEND v.s. MSG.exe

We have few Windows Vista Business and Windows 2000 running computers on the same domain. I’m a local admin of this domain. I want to know how to send message to both vista and win2k users using MSG.exe. I know it can be done but am not able to get it done.

If I use: MSG * /server:othervistabox test message, I get the error Error 5 getting session names.

If I use: MSG * /server:win2kbox test message, I get the error Error 1722 getting session names

Somebody please provide assistance regarding the same. Many thanks.

You asked the question about NET SEND vs MSG.exe but you given results of only MSG.exe. What happens when you do “Net Send”?
