I am helping a friend setup a home network. I have got a new Belkin N Wireless router (F5D8233-4) set to:
Authentication: WPA-PSK + WPA2 + PSK
Encryption: TKIP + AES
Unique SSID and pre-shared key entered
I also have a new HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop running Vista Premium. Built-in 'G' wireless adapter (Atheros). The driver is the latest version. Using the regular Vista network setup tools, a stable wireless connection can be established with the configuration described above. The problem is that the wireless connection to the private home network fails to automatically re-connect following a Vista restart. The wireless connection can be successfully re-established by disconnecting from the private home network followed by a 'connect' to the same private network. This process does not require entry of the pre-shared key.
Ayn solution?
