Hey guys, I came today share a small experience with Ping general failure issue. I was facing this problem since past few days on my Vista system. though internet was working fine on my computer, whenever I tried pinging my own wireless interface, it use to result in “General failure” error.
Finally after spending lots of time in troubleshooting I managed to fix it by simply disabling my Norton Firewall which came pr-installed with my laptop. So if anyone else facing this problem should first of all disable, infact remove it completely from your system because you already have Microsoft’s built-in firewall for protection.
