    What's this IP address in my registry?

    I found a ip address in windows registry. I am using Windows Vista. There are only two computers which are sharing the internet on wifi router. One is a XP desktop and other one is my new Vista laptop. I checked in ipconfig and found a weird ip address. It is some 169.254.183.232. I think this does not belong to my network and how does it came in my system settings. Below is the extract of my registry settings. Please check the same.
    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{2B393A00-17F7-47B9-8D75-5D5E53C1FD63}]
    "UseZeroBroadcast"=dword:00000000

    "Lease"=dword:00000000
    "LeaseObtainedTime"=dword:00000000

    It looks like some kind of auto configuration in your system. It is detecting some network and it is connected. The DHCP basically provides the ip address to the pc to access net. And I think due to that you are getting that ip address. If you find this suspicious the you can don one thing. You can manually configure the ip address in network and sharing center and then check back. The DHCP works on the basis of its own configuration and each time when your system connects to the network it collects the information by default. Adding the ip address is also not at all complicated. It is a easier way to handle the connectivity.else's network, which would suggest that outside interference is at least part of your connection problem.
