WLAN Autoconfig doesn't start

I’m running a Dell Vostro 1700 Laptop running with Windows Vista Business. It is to connect my Wireless network because WLAN autoconfig is just not starting up. Whenever I try to start it from Services, it gives me an error message stating:

“Error 3 : The system cannot find the path specified”

Any idea how can I get rid of this problem? Will it help if I re-install the service again? Thanks for your helps.

Hello Hardiyy,

Just check the Event Viewer log and post back with the errors mentioned over there. It will be helpful for us to provide proper help. Meanwhile just all dependencies are running.

Thanks for your reply friend. This is the error listed in Event Viewer:

“Error 3 : The system cannot find the path specified Edit/Delete Message”

As far as checking dependencies are concerned, I don’t know how to do that. Can you please let me know the steps? Thanks again.

Here is what you need to do. Just go to Start > control panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > select services and applications > then select services > scroll down to find WLAN Autoconfig.

Here select restart this service and see what happens. Reply back the results.
