How to delete Lan connection in Vista

I have a new dell and had it set up on a high speed LAN connection. I now
want to set up a dial-up connection and it wont let me. it says it can't
detect my internal dial-up modem... I think it's still reading the laan
connection but I can't delete it! how do I delete this connection?

Re: How to delete Lan connection in Vista

First of all, you can't "delete" the network adapter for the LAN, although
you can disable it by right-clicking on it. However, I don't think this is
your problem. We need more information. You say that when you try to set
up a dialup connection that the system tells you that it can't detect your
modem.

Does the modem show up in Device Manager? To find out, click Start\Run,
type "devmgmt.msc" and click OK. If a "Modems" item is listed, click the
"+" next to it and tell us what you see.

Re: How to delete Lan connection in Vista

will do Dave...
as far as disabling the lan connection, it won't let me, I have UAC turned
off so I'll turn it back on as an admin and see if it'll let me, I'll keep ya
posted.
Thanks,
Trav
