"The Handle is Invalid" error

I recently bought a new HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One Printer and hooked this printer to my wireless network at my place. It is connecting properly and getting an ip and also performs normally. There is a card slot in this printer and when you insert a card, then it should show up a drive in the computer. So I inserted the card and it came up with X: drive but when I double clicked on it then it said that "Drive X is not accessible, the handle is invalid". When I go to its properties then it will show proper information like how much is the used space and free space. But I dont know why it isnt letting me to access it? I am the admin of this computer and have all the rights as well? Is there any fix for this problem?

Even I was getting the Handle is invalid error when I disabled the USB devices and installation through CD Roms in the Application and Device Control policy. So, you can check for the Device Control and blocked devices, that you might be having there.

Incase, you have any Symantec product installed in your computer then go into the manager console of symantec endpoint protection and then Policies and then Application and Device Control and then select the policy and click edit policy. After that you need to go to Application Control and uncheck block programs from running from removable drives. This will sort out the problem for you.
