Can't connect from Vista to XP (File Sharing)

I have got Windows Vista on desktop 1 and Windows Xp on desktop 2 with the workgroup: WORKGROUP. The problem is that when I try to connect from the laptop which has Vista operating system to my Windows XP machine to the Private share to pull file off of the desktop, but I am getting the below error message:

Command Line Error
"C:\>net use \\192.168.1.2
System error 1385 has occurred.

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer."

Can anyone tell me how do I solve this problem?

I have read somewhere that by default Vista admin shares like C$, D$ are not shared by default for some security reasons that is unknow. You may be able to create your own shares so that you can share your drives from the root of the drive or can try to use Public folder sharing. This will definitely help you out.

You will need to first configure File and Printer Sharing Behavior in Windows Vista. After that you will have to configure file and printer sharing behavior in Windows Vista consists of the following:

• Setting the workgroup name to be the same as the other computers
• Setting the network location type
• Enabling file and printer sharing options
