Windows cannot access \\Home-pc\c - Error Code 0x80070005

I have got an HP desktop computer and just recently I reinstalled Windows Vista on it. There is a Cradlepoint MBR1000 router I am using to access the internet and files on my laptop. This router is connected to the computer through a CAT5 cable into the lan port. Also to the router a USB720 modem is connected that provides internet access wirelessly. The desktop pc that I am using is setup for file sharing and printer sharing. Before installing windows vista, this seemed to work fine but now it is not working. All the permissions are already being reset by me as well as the read and write and control files/folders on both pcs. The firewall is also turned off which I thought was causing this trouble but it was not. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks

In any case, you have installed any third party security software such as Norton, McAfee or anything else, then try to temporarily uninstall them from the computer that you are using and then try to install Windows Updates. If still this issue is causing trouble even after uninstalling all the third party security software, then reinstall the antivirus software and then try the Clean Boot method given here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Well, I finally found the solution for this issue. I had sharing setup for everyone to read, write enabled with full control but I didnt go under the security tab for each drive/folder that was being shared to ensure that the groups/users in that tab mached the same groups/users in the Sharing tab. So, I just need to change the security permissions to everyone with full control, since I was the only used of this computer and network. Once I did that then clicked apply and ok then it worked fine.
