| Re: Internet connected but not working on Vista
I don't see any issues with the TCP/IP. Can you ping 10.0.0.1? If yes, can you ping 4.2.2.1? if yes, can you ping chicagotech.net? Please post back with the results. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "OneScrewLoose" <OneScrewLoose.3ipxgd@no-mx.forums.vistaheads.com> wrote in message news:OneScrewLoose.3ipxgd@no-mx.forums.vistaheads.com... > > Hi, > > If someone can help me, it would be great. | Re: Internet connected but not working on Vista Hi, Thanks for the reply. I had no problem pinging 10.0.0.1 but pinging any other website or ip would not happen. I solved the problem by resetting my modem, and not merely switch off and switch on again but unplugging every cables and reattaching after 10 minutes. That works, but that seems to be the only solution that works. But it also happens twice a day - the connecting issue.. Thinking about it, daily massive resetting shouldn't be the way to go. Do you think the problem is with my router or my laptop? Again, it happens onl on my new Vista machine. -- OneScrewLoose Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
