Windows Mail "send" error message - need help to repair

I am having Windows Vista on my pc and while using Windows Mail, I am not able to either send or receive email for no reason. Previously it was working but all of a sudden this problem started. The error message that I get is "The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'mail.lupin.com, Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E". Can anyone help?

It seems to me like there might be a setting issue in how the mail servers in Windows Mail are set. So you will have to double check with your Internet Service Provider for this issue which is Comcast I guess. There ar some providers that require certain things checked and there are also other that dont require anything. I also think that due to some update in Comcast you will need ot change the outgoing port numbers which they havent told anybody.

Even I am facing the same problem and getting the same error message on my computer. Previously everything was working fine on my Windows Vista machine but from last couple of days I am not able to send any emails out to anyone? Whenever I try to send emails then it will just get stuck. However I am able to recieve the emails without any issues. Is there any fix for this problem?
