I am giving a suggestion please follow the same and let me know what happens.
Try to change your outgoing port number to 465.
    Goto Tools Menus
    Select pop.gmail.com
    Properties > Advanced Tab.

    Hello Czack,

I would suggest to read more instruction to setup your gmail account in your windows mail, please check the below links.

Gmail also offers you to connect your mail account via IMAP, I kept it simple by assuming you'd rather use the POP method. Even some antivirus program tend to cause problems in your windows mail, even its resolve immediately. If you need more assistance on this problem then please tell me which antivirus software is installed on your machine.

You cannot use SSL port with 587, I would suggest you to change to the port 465 and keep your SSL, even you can keep it 587 but disable your SSL certificate.
