Help with windows vista mail, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

As my title says, I am getting the error while trying to send or receive any email in my windows Mail running on Windows Vista. The complete error is as follows:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.b-safeusa.com', Server: 'pop.secureserver.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure (SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

It was working fine from a month since I configured but the problem suddenly started two days ago. Hope you guys will surely help me out of this. Thanks in advance.

Are you using Norton or McAfee antivirus on your system? If yes, that could be creating this issue because these security suites have Email Scanning feature builtin. They scan all incoming and outgoing emails for your Windows mail. Most of the times thought the emails are safe they recognize it as malicious and block them.

So what you need to do is either disable Email Scanning (that doesn’t fix the problem most of the times) or better just uninstall these Antivirus. Your issue will be fixed automatically.

Just try out these steps and see if it fixes your problem:

Open command prompt as an Administrator and type the following code followed by Enter:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled
Restart Windows mail and try downloading the mails now. See if it works fine. If still you get the same problem, than reverse the changes by typing the following in command prompt:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=normal
    Let me know the results.
