Need help moving ,dbx Outlook express messages to Outlook 2007

I was using Outlook Express since a long time for all my POP3 accounts and having a huge backup of the same in DBX format. Now I want to switch to Outlook 2007. But facing problem importing this backup to the new Outlook 2004. Whenever I go to the import wizard and point it to the location where the file is saved, it says there are no internet email messages.

Somebody please help me to get my backup into Outlook 2007. It is very important. Thank you.

Am not able to get your problem properly. Are you trying to move Outlook Express dbx to Outlook 2007 on the same PC or from one PC to another? If it is on the same PC it should work properly, you should not get that error unless your dbx file is corrupted. To know how you can move OE files to Outlook 2007, check this article with step by step process: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...010079919.aspx.

In this case, you would transfer your OE data into Windows Mail, then export
it from Windows Mail into Outlook 2007. See here for further details - Importing DBX files into Outlook 2007

if your Outlook Express is still working, will recommend you to create a new backup. Because as far as I know Outlook 2007 reads the dbx files but as in your case it is showing up with error, I too suspect that it has got corrupt. So better create new dbx backup and try importing it to Outlook 2007.

If you are trying to do this from one system to another, then better try importing this dbx to outlook installed on the same PC and make a back in PST file. Then move this PST to the new computer and import in Outlook 2007. You won’t be getting any problem.
