I am getting 2 error when I am launching Windows Mail:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Test', Account: 'incoming.yahoo.verizon.net', Server: 'outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

And the other one is:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'incoming.yahoo.verizon.net', Server: 'incoming.yahoo.verizon.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have got Norton that was preinstalled in the machine and have also got Outlook 2003 running on the Vista system. Can anyone please help me out.

Have you disabled the antivirus for incoming and outgoing email scanning on your Vista system. If doing that still doesnt work for you then you will have to uninstall the Norton antivirus software from your computer completely. You see, there is some incompatibility problem of Norton with Windows Mail. In the meanwhile you can also search for setting up yahoo mail in Windows Mail or Outlook Express for the proper ports and authentication settings that may be wrong on your system.
