| Message will not delete or moved from Inbox
If anyone would please let me know how to correct this problem. Getting the following message in my preview pane: "Message could not be displayed Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again." When I try to delete it or move it, I get the following: "An unknown error has occurred" Thanks for all the help. |

I am having the same problem with just one email in my inbox. It started on March 20. I get the same messages everyone else is receiving. I have contacted everyone and no one knows what to do. I just want this one email deleted. Thanks, Terrie "paul870" wrote: > hi could anybody please give me the intructions to remove this message in > laymens terms.please a step by step guide.i am really new to the pc world.any > help is most appreciated > regards paul > > "S. | Re: Message will not delete or moved from Inbox
I just bought my new computer in February. So, I backed up my files and restored my computer to the way it was when I bought it. I put the files back on the computer and signed into windows mail with a brand new mail system. That was the only way I could get rid of that email I could not delete in my inbox. I called Gateway and this is what they told me to do and it worked. "tha10" wrote: > I am having the same problem with just one email in my inbox. It started on > March 20. | RE: Message will not delete or moved from Inbox
I saw this in another forum and finally got the nerve to try it and it worked. So far at least. Don't know if it will reoccur Turn off Scan emails in you Virus program Close Windows Email Open Task Manager, processes Tab,: end process for WinMail.exe Applications Tab: if windows mail is running - end task Go to start, All Programs, Accessories, Windows Explorer, Computer, Local Disc (C), Users, Your name (or whatever your computer is called), AppData, Local, Microsoft, Windows Mail. Copy the whole Windows Mail folder to a disc or desktop (incase this doesn't work & you need to recover it). Rename it Windows Mail2 (or something) Go back to original Windows Mail Folder (see above - the one you copied) and locate the file named WindowsMail.MSMessageStore Delete this file. Then go to the backup folder & find this same file. Delete it. Close all windows & restart the computer. Open Windows Mail. Test it. You should have a folder on the bottom of your group (under inbox etc) that says recovered messages. With all your old stuff in it. If you don't, you can open the backup file and made and drop & drop any messages you want to keep. Hope this helps......at least until they get the "fix". -- Montana "frascal" wrote: > Will this also work for email that is stuck in the outbox, I have one that is > saying the same error that everyone is talking about but I also have 2 email > stuck in the outbox and not moving to the sent item, even tho I know they > were delivered. > > Thanks > > "George De La Rosa" wrote: > > > If anyone would please let me know how to correct this problem. | Re: Message will not delete or moved from Inbox
I have the same problem except I have almost 100 e-mails just sitting there!! It is so very frustrating as I have searched everywhere for an answer and tried everything!! My position is the same as a comment posted a few weeks ago Microsoft Vista is full of problems and no one has an answer. I am going to try Outlook as I never once had a problem in the 6 years I had it. If someone does know how to resolve this issue Please Post!! Thanks -- Laura Dixon "tha10" wrote: > I am having the same problem with just one email in my inbox. It started on > March 20. I get the same messages everyone else is receiving. That will work, but it's like hitting a gnat with a sledge hammer. (Overkill). You could have deleted just the \AppData\...\Windows Mail directory, which is like starting a brand new Windows Mail.
