| Error Number 0x800C013A
Everytime I send a new email, I get this response stating: The message could not be sent. Subject '', Account: 'Hotmail', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: 'There is an error synchronizing your mail account, please call Microsoft support to resolve this issue.', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800C013A, Error Number: 0x800C013A I was wondering whether anybody on here would know anything about resolving such an issue |

If your question is about using Hotmail in Windows Mail in Vista, it is not supported and there are no plans to change it. If you're asking about using Hotmail in some other program, you failed to tell us which program it might be. -- Jim Pickering MVP-Outlook Express/Windows Mail Please reply to newsgroup only so that others may be helped with your feedback. Sorry, about the confusion, I'm using the Hotmail account in WLMD in Windows XP and was wondering whether there were anyway into resolving the non-synchronising error. It keeps all the emails in my Outbox and says they're not sent and yet I get replies from the people that I apparently haven't sent to. Which baffles me, if it didn't send how did the recipetent receive and reply to the email? Michael: There could be several things wrong 1. your account isn't enabled (did you receive an invite to use WLMD?) 2. The service could be down (unlikely otherwise there would be more people having problems than just you) 3. you've exceeded your sync times with the server (i.e. did it ever work, or did you install it and it failed at first run) 4. there could be some proxy error, but that is unlikely as well. option #1 is probably the most likely problem. I would suggest trying to signup again to ensure that your account is enabled by going to http://ideas.live.com I believe direct signup is now enabled. one thing to note is that the invite will often end up in your junk mail folder so please check there as well. -Highspar "Michael Short-McGirr" <MichaelShortMcGirr@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8CC112BB-D3E5-4F7E-8EDC-EAD2C6A33C48@microsoft.com... > Sorry, about the confusion, I'm using the Hotmail account in WLMD in > Windows > XP and was wondering whether there were anyway into resolving the > non-synchronising error.
