Go to Tools | Options | Send | International Settings and change the Encoding there. Try Western European and see if that fixes it. |

I do not have a send in options. I tried to change it some where in options and there is not a western europe. Is there another place I can change it? Thank you so much for your help Oh I am on Vista if that assist you. It seems when I attach a picture that the chinese writing appears. Could that be it? Well, not always. I changed the font to Western Europe (Windows) but it just did it again. It is sooooo aggravating. H E L P again |

Make sure you are on the main screen of Windows Mail, not the message compose screen. |

As Gary indicated, on the main WinMail form, go to Tools | Options | Send | International Settings. Or in the message window itself, you can go to Format | Encoding. |

Tools | Options | Send | International Settings set Western European as default on the Main Windows Mail form, not the new message form. That's not chinese |
