When you got that error message was your Internet connection being supplied by Vodacom? If yes: Make sure you have send authentication enabled. Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers. The box for "My server requires authentication" must be checked. |

If you would like some custom help: Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here. We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message. |

I checked that email address and his mail server said: "Invalid mailbox: mquandt@wi.rr.com" It appears your recipient may have closed his account. Are you able to send mail to other recipients? Thank you very much this took care of my problem. You're very welcome, Patsy. Glad to have helped. |

All the people in my "Contacts" are listed by first name, last name. How do I get them converted to last name, first name? Thanks. This gets me 1/2 way there. The contacts list comes up with last name first when I start create mail - that helps. But when I'm at the inbox and click contacts, they're still listed by first name first. Is there a fix for that? |

| Re: Troubleshoot windows mail
In "Details" view right click on a column and add "Given Name". |

| Re: Troubleshoot windows mail
In the Contacts folder: Change the View to "Details". Right-click on the "Name" column heading, click on "First Name", then click on "Last Name" Click on the "Last Name" heading to sort by that, or click on "First Name" heading to sort by that. In a Create Mail window: Click on To: Click on the "Name" column heading... it cycles thru 4 different sorts In the Contact Properties: click on the down arrow at the end of the Full Name box |
