| Downloaded Email Not Cleared from ISP's Server
Beginning January 1, email is not being cleared from my ISP's server. This means that emails downloaded one day are again downloaded the next day (and the next, etc.). I'm running Vista Home Premium. It may be my ISP's problem, since the same condition exists if I access my email account from my laptop via wireless connectionr, My wife's email account (we share an Ethernet LAN) does not have any problems. Four error messages are noted: First Error Message: Message number 5 could not be retrieved. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '
MyName@comcast.net
', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD Same error for Message Numbers 8, 9, 10, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 49 Second Error Message: Message number 6 could not be retrieved. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '
', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD Third Error Message: Message number 7 could not be retrieved. When a message cannot be downloaded, it may be an indication that it is corrupted on the server. Log onto the webmail portal to your email account, and delete the messages that are being re-downloaded. http://www.comcast.net/webmail/ -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP2 beta http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview http://download.live.com/wlmail "Threadbare" <Threadbare@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:86685298-BA29-4B6D-9431-60C2E8744FB7@microsoft.com... > Beginning January 1, email is not being cleared from my ISP's server. > This > means that emails downloaded one day are again downloaded the next day > (and > the next, etc.).
