Windows Vista Mail asking for logon information now

I am not able to use the Windows mail without logging into the server and this problem just started recently. And after that a windows security will pop up username and password window for confirmation and also a checkbox for remembering both the things. But if I check to remember the credentials then it will still not remember and ask you the same thing again. I dont think that it has got something to do with the ISP. Can anyone give any suggestion for this issue?

Can you go to Tools >> Accounts >> and Select that mail account >> Properties >> Servers. After that you have to make sure that the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" is unchecked or it is not ticked. If it was already unchecked then can you tell us what antivirus have you been using on your machine? Some of the antivirus are not compatible at all with Windows Mail and hence you will require to uninstall the same.

Are you making sure that you are enterinf the proper username and password? If so then the problem could be either the account that you are using might be corrupted. So, you can try to delete that corrupted mail account and then restart Windows Mail and then again recreate that account on your system. Is that doesnt work then it could be possible that the antivirus that you have installed in your system might be having some problems with the winmail. You should try to turn off the email scanning in the antivirus and see if that solves the issue. If still that doesnt work then you will have to completely remove the antivirus for your computer and then check if the problem with Windows Mail fades away or not.
