Windows mail - Set Association

I can't open pdf files etc in Windows Mail. I always get the message "This file does not have a program associated with it.
Please advise how I can fix this & where to find the control panel for Set Associations.
Thanks for any help you could give me
Helen

Re: Windows mail - Set Association

First, make sure you can open saved .pdf files outside of
Windows Mail. If that works, you can apply this fix:

Re: Windows mail - Set Association

Hi Gary,
Yes I can access saved PDFs both saved & on my other internet accesses including Internet Explorer. My only problem is with Windows Mail.

I tried the link you gave me, & then my other e-mails would not open either, so I had to uninstall & now I'm back to just my one original problem

Thanks for your suggestions & interst in my dilemma.
Helen

I've never heard of problems caused by that link:
http://www.winhelponline.com/article...dows-Mail.html

Are you sure you followed the steps correctly?
There is nothing to install or uninstall, which leads me to believe
that you did something different.

Incidentally, it is customary here to quote the message one is replying to.
