WINDOWS MAIL YAHOO POP ERROR, CANT SEND OR RECEIVE

ANY IDEAS? I CANT SEND OR RECEIVE THIS IS MY ERROR MESSAGE: Your server has
unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include
server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account:
'YAHOO MAIL', Server: 'plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Did it ever work?
I take it you pay for Yahoo's premium 'Mail Plus' service?
If so, the special settings for that server require the SSL option
to be enabled (yours is not enabled). The complete settings are

Hello,
I have the same problem since a month ago or so. I was always able to use
Windows Mail with my Yahoo Premium account, but I don´t know what condition
changed in my Vista ultimate box to make WM stop working with Yahoo. I think
there is some issue with the SSL certificate involved because Windows is
sometimes asking me for permission to use the certificate when I launch
windows Mail.

I tired Mozilla thunderbird with excelent results, but I want my Windows
Mail back.

Help me please. Thank you very much in advance.

Are both sending and receiving failing? Which antivirus do you use?

If you get an error message, right-click on the error message,
copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

This is the error message that I receive everytime for 4 days now when I try
to use Send/Receive button to receive my Yahoo message traffic. Account:
'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port:
995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC17

Do you pay Yahoo for the premium Mail Plus service? If so, the server
you are using is not the correct one according to the Yahoo link
