Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929) problem

When i installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929), i have installation
failure.Error Code: 0x87FF054F.Installation stops with bar internal error.How
can i resolve this problem?

Try to run subinacl and then try to install Even it fails try to repair windows using the windows xp disc which will
remove all your updates and then try to install SP3.

Check the status of Automatic updates Service. If it is not started or set to
disabled or Manual, set it to automatic and start the service and check if
that helps!
