Microsoft update KB947821 is the FIX !!

Tuesday updates 18Mar 2008 KB947821 has fixed all my problems. Hope it works

Walked right into that one.
KB938371 would not install with error code 80073712 ( search 80073712)
KB947821 has cured the problem and allowed 371 to install correctly.
All available updates are now installed and ready for Vista SP1 ( so I will
probably be back, knowing my luck)
I have seen you ( MowGreen [MVP] ) giving advice to a lot of people in the
short time I have been on this forum (a week), keep up the good work and hope
this helps with the hair problem and makes you wealthy as Bill & Warren.

not install and thanks for the encouraging words.
Early returns are showing that KB947281 *is* the ' magic bullet ' for
updating issues with Vista, kind of like penicillin was for a certain
venereal disease. <g>

I have been having the same windows update error code when trying to update
manually (the system seems to do automatic updates in background
successfully)! I have installed SP1 successfully but I am still getting the
same error code (I have checked and I do have KB947821 installed. Any ideas?

Hi,

Was Getting Error Code 8007371B which is one of the Errors specified in
KB947821

Had to mauually Edit the registry for it to Run.....

Successfully Installed KB947821, but still failing on KB938371 with the same
Error code....

Got this from the CheckSUR.log
