Update for Windows Live Photo Gallery KB 946486 fail

I cannot update this fix on my Windows XP system. My system have Windows
Live Gallery installed. Can any friend tell me how to solve this problem?

manually. The version is still the same. And I stil experience fasiled

I've installed, uninstalled, removed Photo Gallery, reinstalled as suggested,
and I am still unable to install the update. Keep getting the Error Code:
0x6B9

Reminds me of the mid 80s - install, reinstall ad nauseam

This issue is most likely caused by corrupted Windows Live Photo Gallery
components. Let's refer to the following steps to remove/reinstall Windows
Live Toolbar.

Step 1: Download Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Utility

1. Visit:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...BD/msicuu2.exe
2. Save the file on the Desktop.
3. Please double click the msicuu2.exe file to install it on the computer.

Step 2: Remove Windows Live Photo Gallery

1. Click Start -> (All) Programs->Windows Installer Clean Up.
2. Please locate and remove Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Step 3: Install latest version of Windows Live Photo Gallery

Worked like a charm for me. After running Microsoft updates still wanted to
update but it run through to completion. Thanks, hate it when XP keeps coming
up with wanting to install updates that were not successfull.
