    Microsoft WDM Image Capture (win32) Version 5.1.2600.21

    To Anybody Who Knows:
    I have been working on my sons laptop PC (sony vaio,pcg-fxa48) for a
    while, coz of this trouble on his webcam,it only show for a while and turned
    black,we bought a new webcam but still dont work in a sense of nothing show
    on cam but according to the driver it working properly,but when i went to the
    camera source this is on the selection button and only this( Microsoft WDM
    Image Capture (win32) version 5.1.2600.21 is listed,the new webcam is not
    listed to be selected.I did some researching and i think this is a VIRUS, if
    it is How can i remove it ????
    PLEASE HELP !

    Windows version? What has this to do with Windows Update?

    Your problem seems to have nothing to do with windows security/critical
    updates, so you are asking your Q in the wrong group.
    An easy mistake as you are using that web interface discussion group to
    post.
    Look for a group that has hardware connections with your OS(which you do not
    mention).
    Nor do you mention what cameras you are talking about - nor do you say if
    you have contacted the makers for advice.
