The workaround is to place the Office 2007 install CD in the CD drive and then go Microsoft Update and install the Service Pack . -- ==================================== TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2008 - Australia ==================================== How to ask a question: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 http://taurarian.mvps.org/index.htm Emails will not be acknowledged - please post to the newsgroup so all may benefit. | 78f code solution
After 9 failed attempts to get Office 2007 SP1 installed on my machine via Windows update I decided to investigate this a little bit further and you are going to laugh about the solution. Believe it or not the only thing that was required was to have a CD in the drive while the update was happening, the funny thing is that it can be any CD/DVD as long as it contains some data, so put a DVD movie and start watching it while the service pack gets installed. |
